This is a cute little place to stop by for lunch that is walkable distance to nearby hotels and beaches. Their interior is colorful, and they also sell a variety of merchandise, which we looked around while we waited for our food. The cashier lady who took our order was nice and pleasant. Although there are only a few seating options inside, we grabbed our food to go and headed to the beach to enjoy our meal. The menu is extensive, offering a wide range of musubi, triangle rice balls, bowls... and more! I decided to try the original teriyaki spam musubi and tuna mayo rice ball, both of which were delicious and flavors were spot on! When I return to Honolulu, I will grab some more of these tasty musubi! If you're a fan of musubi, I recommend checking this place out.

Lovely fresh food. Come for all kinds of SPAM and for the super good seafood - poke bowls, musubi. Good rice, excellent nori, very tasty. We had the poke bowl, salmon roe musubi, teriyaki SPAM and rice. Fast service, nice people at the counter. Unique quirky gifts and cans of SPAM for sale. Few small tables in the back or eat outside. We've been here a few times now on various trips and it never disappoints

Best musubis I have ever tasted! I regret only ordering 3 and not getting more! Since it was my first time here, I asked what is most popular and I was recommended terikayki spam, avocado bacon spam, and eel egg spam. The musubis are made fresh to order and rice was still warm when we ate it 5 minutes later. I think the rice to spam ratio is perfect. I will definitely be back again when I'm in Hawaii and I will definitely order more next time! So glad I was able to end my Hawaii trip with some delicious tasting musubis.

TLDR: Musubi Cafe Iyasume is a bit kitschy and very, very touristy -- but it's fun and worth a try for Hawaiian-style Spam musubi, slightly more traditional omusubi, and other things. Staff are courteous though exhausted. The food is enjoyable, if unhealthy, "fast" food that you'll wait in line for, for a while on a typical day. There's an overabundance of rice to filling / topping, but happily, that rice is of fair quality. I would be happy with half the amount probably. Spam is pleasantly browned on a pan or griddle, placed over a (nigiri-shaped) "ball" of rice, and then served as is or topped with your fillings of choice. We've liked shiso, inari and kimchi toppings very well so far. Non-spam onigiri are fair -- a lot of rice and a lot of filling -- about double the size of the ones we make at home, but of course quite enjoyable. Nori is not wrapped separately from rice, so you must make sure to eat immediately. Every time we come in we see something else that we HAVE to come back to try, so I'm sure we'll return, even though the lines are unreal oftentimes. We were lucky the first night when we walked in without a wait! (For New Yorkers, this place is, in spirit, the original Halal Brothers cart on 51st St. =)

From the moment you walk into this small shop, you'll see souvenirs and shirts to buy while the other side is for you to order spam musubi, other food, and beverages. Always busy with a long line inside and out but moves quickly. The decor is charming, with a cozy and casual vibe that makes you feel right at home. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to offer recommendations and ensure you have the best possible experience. The musubi is made fresh to order. Rice was warm and the tuna mayo was delish and my fav! The price is so reasonable and cheap! Perfect snack to take to the beach! This place is a definite must go to if you ever come to Hawaii. Our hotel to here was about 4 min walk. Will miss coming here everyday...

I've been going here since 2015. They've expanded but are still serving the great quality musubis. I don't event get the spam one, but they're all good! Very quick and friendly service. There's not much for seating but you can go across the street for outdoor tables or walk back to the beach. Great breakfast to go.

Musubi cafe is a great place to go for Musubi. We had the Teriyaki, the Egg snd Spam, and the Bacon, Avocado, and Spam Musubi. They were all delicious. I scarfed them all after being on the beach for most of the day and a hike in the morning. I could eat these things for every meal for an indefinite period of time. Just really can't ever imagine myself being tired of these things.

Fast, inexpensive & featuring an expansive selection, it's a popular quick bite & late night post-beach stop. Tuna mayo & salmon are our go-tos, but the spam & egg are what,my dreams aee made of. The eel bowl was delish too. My exotic food dreams came true with nattokinase, too! Honestly, pretty dang good! Worth it to try and enjoy! Memories & decal swag unlocked! Well wat here Every. Day.
